About me
© Maha Almatari 2025

I’m a native New Yorker, a lefty, and most importantly, the eldest of three...so I’ve spent a lifetime shaping experiences for others. Whether building indoor forts or flipping mattresses into makeshift slides, I’ve always curated experiences with empathy for people’s needs.
Today, I bring that same care to every project I’m part of. Most recently, I led design from concept to MVP at a fast-paced health-tech startup. No matter the industry, my philosophy stays the same: users are the true designers—I simply facilitate the process. I craft accessible, meaningful experiences that connect people to both themselves and the products they use. And ideally, leave them with a smile.
After time spent freelancing, I’m excited to jump into a full-time opportunity. I don’t have all the answers, but I ask the right questions. I’m eager to grow fast, collaborate, and push the boundaries of what human-centered UX can be.
And when I can, I illustrate (sometimes, for freelance) by the breathtaking views of my NYC apartment!
